How we live....

We are a couple of people trying to live the "green" life.  We are
vegan and have vegan potlucks often with other local vegans. We
are keeping our foot print small and trying to spread the word. We
drive our car on grease, we have a small organic farm, and a
summer farm stand, as well as a yearly (maybe more) farmers
market here in town to raise awareness to buy local. We "can"
whatever we have left over and are still eating garden fresh
tomatoes from last summer! We use rain barrels to water the garden
at our house and hope to do the same in our bigger garden this
year, we mulch as much as possible with leaf mulch from residents.
We heat our house with wood stoves, and try to use locally harvested
wood or reclaimed lumber as much as possible, we have a sail boat
and love being powered by the wind, we are avid composters and
recyclers, and have a super efficient front loading washer/dryer
combo.

March 2009:
Henry Lucey is coming for a work study at Cape Green Auto for 2 weeks, in that time there will
be a VW conversion, oil collection, and plenty of projects. Stay updated for a play by play.

Janary/Feburary 2009:
Picked up a few new sources thanks to Todd French and the Cape Cod Grease Fuel Collaborative.
Finished the bus for the South Shore Charter Public school in Norwell. They are now running on
grease!!

March 2008:
We were married at the Rio Grande Gorge in Taos NM. We did the whole trip on veggie oil,
about 10,000 miles with 3 dogs and a lot of exploring. Went to Moab UT, Portland OR,
Birmingham AL, and Asheville NC. Our wedding couldn't have been greener, we did it outside
with NO waste, had dinner at a restaurant with vegan cupcakes and wedding cake. Lynne wore a
"once worn" wedding dress, It's all about reducing, reusing, and recycling.....
